Jesus loves everyone ... his close friends ... the grown-ups that listen to him teach about God ... but he especially loves little children!See what happens when Jesus' friends try to chase the children away so he can rest a little bit.
My thoughts: The moment I slid the book out of the mailer, a huge smile spread across my face. Look at the vibrant color and children's smiles. I love cartoons so this book appealed to me right away.
Kids and adults will want to read this book over and over. Mark 10:13-16 comes to life through the vivid and often hilarious illustrations. Kids will relate to the characters because they look like them, even the disciples dressed in present-day clothing. Kids won't think the Bible isn't relevant today after reading this story. The message comes across clear that Jesus wants to play an active role in their lives.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Andrew is the creator, writer, and illustrator of the Lost Sheep series. Way back in 1989 as a young Bible college student, Andrew was asked to give the dreaded “children’s talk” at a large church. Andrew possessed one talent: he could draw sheep. He bought some overhead projector sheets and drew up the story of Cecil and the Lost Sheep. T he congregation loved it, so Andrew continued to draw stories to use with kids and adults. Other students, pastors, and teachers started borrowing the stories.Product Details:
