I like to add variety to my devotional time, so I’m always on the look out for a good devotional. I know you’ve read this before, if you are a reader of this blog. But it’s still true. I don’t like to greet God the same way week after week, month after month. The Gift of Psalms has become a valuable tool in keeping my devotional time fresh. Not only is the devotional a good way to study certain chapters in Psalms, some of Hollywood’s most talented actors can read to me when I’m feeling sluggish and don’t feel like reading. It is particularly fun hearing Gary Sinise from the television show CSI New York and Malcolm McDowell, who I recently viewed in the movie, The List
I only hope these actors believe the words they are reading.
Each devotional is divided into three parts: an excerpt from a chapter in psalms, a corresponding devotional thought, all rounded off by a prayer. I like devotionals that guide me through prayer as I can get a bit talkative. Reading a ready-made prayer gives my prayer focus and direction.
If you’re looking for a Resurrection Day gift to bless someone with, try the The Gift of Psalms
