My thoughts: I used to read books to groups of preschoolers. When I showed them a beautiful cover, I would hear a chorus of "oohs and ahhs." I'm embarrassed to say, I sounded like a preschooler when I received this book.
Claudia Chandler’s use of eye-catching colors and uncomplicated drawings will capture and hold a child’s attention. Children will discover new things to discuss with you every time they read the story. They will learn that everyone has a part in making the Earth beautiful and that friendships are found where they least expect them. In the back of the book there is a "Who Knew? Fun Facts About the Roly-poly" and "Fun Facts about Rainbows."
