Spring Reading Thing Wrap-Up

I started the Spring Reading Thing in April and let me tell you, I really had a ball!

Did I meet the challenge? No. I read half of my list. My list is certainly not indicative of what I read since April. I read other titles not listed and forgot to add them to the "Extras".

Now for some of the questions:

What was the best book you read this spring? That's a hard question. I read so many good books! I'm going to go with In High Places by Tom Morrisey. It was a great coming-of-age story. Not to be missed!

What book could you have done without? Actually none on my list.

Did you try out a new author this spring? If so, which one, and will you be reading that author again? CFBA introduces me weekly to many new authors I will be searching out in the future.

If there were books you didn't finish, tell us why. Did you run out of time? Realize those books weren't worth it? May was a really bad reading month for me. There is sooo much going on around here. I didn't finish my mainstream picks. Heck, I didn't even crack the spine on them. If I could do the challenge over, I would pick them up first. I really was looking forward to finishing the almost-read books on my list, but new books kept arriving and I found myself not able to even look at them. *Sigh* I really want to complete some of the titles.

What did you learn -- about anything -- through this challenge? Lists change. I need to come back to update it.

What was the best part of the Spring Reading Thing? Like Katrina, reading all the lists and reviews! I can't wait to Fall. Well, yes I can, but you know what I mean.

Would you be interested in participating in another reading challenge this fall? Absolutely! Thanks Katrina for organizing the challenge!

That Tom Morrisey one looks good. I'll have to add it .

Go for reading B. Collins. Violet Dawn wasn't too bad. I handled it. ;vD Although I've heard the second one is a little more intense. She also has some older ones that are not suspense that I've heard are really good.

I keep hearing about A Bride Most Begrudging -- I need to get it. And I keep hearing about the yada-yada prayer group, too -- I need to check that out.

There are so many great books out there, it's hard not to keep getting new ones, isn't it? :)
