I have to match my unmentionables with my clothing. I have to match my slippers with my PJ's.
But do I have to match these too????
Do I really have to match my book mark to my BOOK?
YES, I think I do. I caught myself standing for at least a minute trying to match a book mark to one of my books!
I wanted to slap my own self! But now: ITS A HABIT!
Someone help me.
Do you book mark, fold over, paper clip, pull cover in, read straight through, or dog-ear to keep your place?

10 Your say:
i grab anything to use as a bookmark. i try not to lay the book down open anymore. too many split spines :(
Working a library, I am quite against (take that with a grain of salt) folding over pages, and very in favor of book marks. That being said, I used to buy and receive all sorts of fancy bookmarks that I would keep my pages with, but they would just end up broken, dog chewed, or lost. Now I take the freebie bookmarks I give away to kids that come in the children's room. Much more pocket concious, still does the job!
You are a hoot, Cee Cee!! I actually don't use anything! I have tried to use bookmarks in the past but end up forgetting to put them in or losing them. So I just flick through and pick up where I left off. I am very fussy about my books so no folding , leaving open, etc - hehehe!!!
HAve been meaning to ask - what is the difference between Treasured Books and Best Books Read?????
Deborah: yeah and my cats might think it's a cushion and then fur would fly. Joking.
Amanda: I don't like folded pages either. I wish people would take care of what is not theirs. You lucky woman to work around books!
Rel: You don't get frustrated trying to find your page! Ugh, when my book mark slides out, I'm mad about it!
Okay, leave it to Rel to expose me here. Last week, when I posted A BIGGER LIFE, I did find myself thinking where to place the book. What I do know is if I feel stirring in the pit of my stomach: IT's a WINNER. But what about Rekindled? Yeah, same stirring. Treasured meant if I had to carry out anything during a ,God forbid fire, I'd reach for those books. No matter what year we were in.
To clarify things, I'll just keep the Best Books 2007. Until, in my mind things change. :)
Cee Cee - ahhhh, now I am responsible for blog amending!!! Love ya!
I'm a bookmark kinda girl, although a bookmark can be anything from a coupon, scrap of paper, something my daughter has drawn me, a postcard, or even a post-it note. Whatever's handy. :)
Now there's an affordable collection -- bookmarks! Really, that could be a lot of fun.
I am absolutely, no exceptions, against folding over corners. Oh, the horror!
Rel, no worries; it was confusing me and wasting time.
Jenny: I wish I could use what's handy instead of feeding my habit.
Actually Sally, it isn't as affordable as you might think. I buy a book mark every time I splurge on books. Help.
Ok - do something with this obsession - give us a photo of you favourite one :)
